really? i mean seriously...

Republicans advocating Waterboarding Obama?

GOP women put Obama's face on mock food stamp currency.

The articles say enough. Shey's quote about Republicans seems to be true, that McCain was banking on many Americans being more racist than sexist. Sad stuff.

Yeah, here's another deeply disturbing bit for your list here Josh, from Time magazine where it's describing comments from the head of the Repub. party in VA (the author also intersperses the facts about what the guy is spewing):

"[Virginia GOP Chairman Jeffrey M. 'That is scary.' It is also not exactly true — though that distorted reference to Obama's controversial association with William Ayers, a former 60s radical, was enough to get the volunteers stoked. 'And he won't salute the flag,' one woman added, repeating another myth about Obama. She was quickly topped by a man who called out, 'We don't even know where Senator Obama was really born.' Actually, we do; it's Hawaii..."

yeah, this is tough stuff to swallow. i know that both campaigns have stretched the numbers at times to suit their audience (thanks to factcheck.org!) but some of the smear tactics like the ones i linked and the ones you mentioned don't seem to be done by the Obama folks. not that these should be the only reason to vote for Obama without consideration of his policies, plans, etc. but how the campaigns are being run is certainly important.
